Change the words, keep the design
The picture is never regenerated — only the detected text is repaired and redrawn, so your product and layout stay intact.
In-place translation
Text is detected, translated and drawn back into the same spot, keeping the original layout and alignment.
Private by design
OCR, translation and background repair all run in your browser. Your images and their text never leave your device.
Background preserved
The original text is erased with an inpainting model, then the English is drawn on top — no smudges or leftover characters.
You stay in control
Edit any translation before applying it, preview what will be erased, and compare the result with the original.
Why use ImageTranslate
No upload
Your image stays on your device from start to finish — nothing is stored or queued on a server.
Made for posters
Built for e-commerce images and ad creatives, where keeping the product and branding pixel-perfect matters.
Honest about limits
Machine translation is a starting point, not ad copywriting — so every line stays editable before you export.

FAQ
Is ImageTranslate really free?
Yes. There is no account, no credit system and no watermark. Because the AI runs on your own device, there is no server cost per image — so we do not need to charge or cap usage.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The image is decoded, read and translated entirely in your browser, and exported locally. Your file never leaves your device.
What does “the first run downloads the models” mean?
Three AI models are needed — text detection, Chinese-to-English translation and background repair — about 300 MB in total. Your browser downloads them once and caches them, so the first image takes longer while the rest start instantly.
Will the new text match the original design?
The English is drawn into the same text box with a fitted size and a colour sampled from the original text, so the layout is preserved. It is not a perfect recreation of a custom typeface, so you can edit the wording and it will re-fit.
Is the translation good enough for advertising?
The translator is a general machine-translation model, not a copywriter. It is a fast, private starting point — every line is editable, so you can polish slogans and wordplay yourself before exporting.
Which images work best?
High-resolution posters with clear, horizontal text. Very small text, stylised or curved lettering, and text overlapping busy artwork are the hardest cases.
Can I use the result commercially?
The translated image is yours to use. You are responsible for having the rights to the original image.
